Restoring KDE Multiple Monitor Display Settings

When running multiple monitors on KDE, the current display settings may not be restored after reboot. Replacing xrandrmonitor with kscreen is one easy way to work around this.


The following steps have been tested in KDE 4.13 to 4.14.9 on ArchLinux.

First, install kscreen via your distro’s package manager, i.e. on ArchLinux:

Now unload and remove xrandrmonitor from KDE modules:

Then load the kscreen KDE module:
