3DiTeams is a first-person, multi-player 3D medical training game to improve communication and teamwork in trauma centers. The game was designed in collaboration with the Duke University Medical Center and features two interactive team-based scenarios, one inside a field hospital and the other inside an emergency room. The training itself is based on the DoD’s TeamSTEPPS curriculum and accompanied by standalone video content.

Bio Network

The NC BioNetwork project was a collaboration between Virtual Heroes and the Wake Tech Community College in North Carolina to create a training simulator for Eisai Pharmaceuticals pill manufacturing equipment.

Most of the game’s content and some of the code was produced by a group of ten computer science students and then optimized and polished by our artists and software engineers.

Pivotal Decision

Pivotal Decision is a serious game created for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami to train first responders’ ability to prioritize patient treatment in mass casualty incidents, such as tornadoes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks.

Bio Network 2

After the successful completion of the BioNetwork project in 2008, Virtual Heroes was awarded a follow-up contract for its continuation in 2009.

While the code and content of the original project had been created mostly by students at the Wake Tech Community College in North Carolina, much of the phase two work was done in-house. It mainly consisted of polishing the existing game, adding some new features to it, and making the game more interactive.
