For Intel’s opening keynote presentation at CES 2008 in Las Vegas we created the world’s first virtual live concert featuring Smash Mouth’s lead singer Steve Harwell.

This project was developed in cooperation with several other companies, and with only a few days of actual hands-on integration and development time, it was one of the most intense experiences of my career.

Bass Boat Simulator

The North Carolina based company SPEVCO specializes in manufacturing event marketing vehicles and asked us to upgrade the software of their aging Bass Boat simulator for Ranger Boats.

The simulator consisted of a custom-built motion platform with a projection screen that was housed in a rapid deployment truck trailer. The following video shows the simulator in action, albeit with the original software.

NSF Mars Demo

The Mars Demo was a proof of concept remake of Race To Mars in order to demonstrate what the game might look like in Unreal Engine 3. The demo was submitted to the National Science Foundation as part of a grant application for the development of a full game.

Bio Network

The NC BioNetwork project was a collaboration between Virtual Heroes and the Wake Tech Community College in North Carolina to create a training simulator for Eisai Pharmaceuticals pill manufacturing equipment.

Most of the game’s content and some of the code was produced by a group of ten computer science students and then optimized and polished by our artists and software engineers.
